North & East Yorkshire Ecological Data Centre
NEYEDC Info
E-mail service down: 24/08/2010
We are currently experiencing problems with our email service. As of about 12pm on the 24th August 2010 we stopped receiving emails to all the neyedc.co.uk email addresses. We are working to resolve this issue and do not expect that the service will be down for long but in the meantime we have set up the following email address datasearches@neyedc.org.uk for any urgent business.
If you did send in a data search by email on or after 12pm on Tuesday please be aware we may not have received it so it would be advisable to resend it to the above address.
We apologise for any inconvenience and will update this message as soon as the service is restored.
NEYEDC encourages people to inform us of any sightings of wildlife within the North & East Yorkshire sub-regions. These can be of common or rare species, alive or dead. We are also interested in records of animal signs (such as footprints or droppings).
What details do we require?
The basic requirements for any species record are What, Where, When and by Whom. Additional information such as type of record (sighting, droppings, dead etc) and any other useful information on activity or age can also be given.
-
What species are you recording?
The Latin name of a species should be given if known.
-
Where did you see it?
An OS grid reference should be given, preferably to at least 6 figures, along with a name for the location. This helps us to verify the grid reference.
-
When did you see it?
A date should be given for your record, giving the exact day if possible.
-
Who recorded/identified it?
